The official day for our hemisphere was two days ago that ‘they’ say spring is here but I tend to check by looking at the snow in the yard. So…if you are wondering how I decided that it is here? The walking path around the house is entirely grass again!!! Hahaha that is it really. It can get warm and seem ok but until it is entirely clear on the pathway then spring is not here. So Yep it is now official!
I realise we may even get a little more snow at some point but that is actually ‘Cannibal’ snow! If you are wondering what that is…it is just what it seems…it eats the other snow!! Only minus 5 this morning is another sign! After all it is clear out and if it only gets that cold then heck more warmth is on the way.
I heard also that Clearwater was Canada’s hot spot yesterday! Wow…15 degrees…crazy! I don’t know about you but I will take it!! I would however caution all of you also that like to get out and enjoy our amazing valley and all of it’s natural beauty! There are many dangers still out there with all of the warmth there could be avalanches because of the melting and the ice can be not as deep as we think when on lakes etc…
In history on this day the first Stanley cup was held on this day in 1894….And today there is the U18 provincial finals in Clearwater and our team is in the final Game I have heard….Coincidence????
On this day in 1867 The British North American act united the colonies of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Canada as the Dominion of Canada!
Sooo we have a great day in history and we also have a chance to maybe make our own?? Let us all get out there and cheer on our team and or…get out and enjoy some amazing nature…I bet we can do both the final game is not till this evening!! Maybe I will see you out there y’all…Have an awesome day!
