Oops almost broke into song….lol..It looks like it will be a gorgeous winter morning! Ya I know the song too lol…I sang it wayyyyyy back when I was in choir in school…ugh that prob dates me since not many ppl know that song or think of it anymore…ah well cannot change that. It looks like a day for getting some vitamin D to all of those who get the seasonal disorder please take a bit of time to get out there! It will help…even on cloudier days that fresh air matters at this time of year! I FEEL YOU! I moved from Arizona to be in Canada..many many years back…Although I am a Canadian now….I am there with you…I have found that it does help getting out if possible. I also bought one of those lights that helps. It really works..I do not need it as much some years as I do others…It is good to know it is there…Sometimes I just set my computer to beach waves and sunshine and turn up the volume lol…that helps too…
Today I think I will make sure there is some time to get out somewhere in this amazing valley and do something…even if it is just a short walk…do you not just feel happier when the sun is out? I know I do!…Hmmm I am gonna look up some stats on that one sec…..
Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. Serotonin is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused. At night, darker lighting triggers the brain to make another hormone called melatonin….that is what google gave me!!
I checked out a number of other things and basically it is all about the vitamins the sun gives you and you make with it….the circadian rhythms also play a large part in the body…we need to play when it is sunny!! Right! Anyway I better get at it y’all! I hope that you have a moment to enjoy it today whatever you do? Are you heading out for a walk…a ski up in the higher elevations? Maybe a snowmobile ride up higher yet? Are there still good spots in the valley? I know there are still some great spots to enjoy near the waterfalls in the area….The sound will lighten your mood too! Anyway whatever your day holds I can only hope you take time to enjoy! Cheers!
