I know every year we decide that we are going to be this perfect version of ourselves and resolve to make it happen. Wellll I personally think that we are all amazing as we are! Just sayin… Of course we could always strive to be better, I get it. I have been too. So many of us get on the weight loss, fitness and save money train each and every January 1st. Some of us only make it part-way through that first day and others make it a week..etc..You get the picture.
It is difficult to stick to any type of goal if we make it an unrealistic one. Keep that in mind k? I have decided instead to give myself daily goals or on occasion weekly ones instead! Good plan hey?! I hope to make them last longer that way. Just like “they” always say one step at a time! I wonder if that is why so many people fail initially…because they make their goals too far-reaching?
I decided that just for today, I am going to eat healthy. If I make it three days in a row I can have a meal of whatever I want. Funny I did this last week ….the meal I wanted did have pasta…however I found myself adding veggies to it.haha. Funny. I do want to be healthier. Those little ways can make it happen. Just a few veggies on a whatever day….Just a walk to get the mail on an indoor day…Just a small cross country ski or snow shoe for even a half kilometer….Just a wander in the yard….Even just taking a break from the tv and walking around the house helps…just sayin…
I guess what I am trying to get across is that we can make good strides towards any type of goals if we take even small steps. It does work….by tomorrow I may not be rich, a supermodel or fully fit…but I will know I at least made a small effort. I will know I am able to do that…even on a dark cold day..in a dark cold month like this…..I can try….So can you….Just sayin….I hope you have some resolutions that are not broken just yet….I hope that you can begin a new one starting today….Just try a little each day to head towards whatever goal you want to achieve!! One step is a start! You may just see many others you know along the pathway! Whatever happens…enjoy the walk!
