So beautiful and so heavy! No idea how many centimeters it is out there but I am betting it is certainly enough to make the roads suck out there for travelling. Try to wait until they are cleared if you can y’all! I see they are making a few more regulations to keep it safer but no matter what please be aware! Just because you are a good driver does not mean it is safe with some of the others out there who seem to forget everything they learned between each snowfall!
So I was looking it up while putting off the shovelling early this morning and discovered there are actually no less than 7 types of snow! Wow hey? Plates, stellar crystals, columns, needles, spatial dendrites, capped columns and irregular forms. On top of these there are three more icy types..called graupel, ice pellets and hail! Wow…I had no idea. I will not go into details showing all the differences as we know they are all winter cold stuff and not fun to shovel. We here in the beautiful North Thompson Valley are usually just stuck with snow this time of year. We get the occasional hail later on and that is mostly it. I cannot imagine having ice covering everything on occasion more so than our regular melty-freeze stuff! I suppose we can really count ourselves lucky and just get out there an get at it! Maybe I will put on music or something to make it go faster…a plan for sure! Anyway whatever works for you! Hope you all have a good one out there and be sure to take breaks from shovelling/driving or even skiing and enjoy your day! Cheers!
